Luna Llena is a Bridazul ‘signature’ lot coming from three farms located within a 10 km radius of El Arbol: Los Cipreces, San José and Las Nubes. This triangle of farms grow caturra and catuai at similar altitudes, giving this batch great uniformity and ease of roasting.

Emilio Gutierrez was the first producer to join Bridazul in 2019. Soon, together with Roberto and Eudoro, they grouped their washed coffees to create a larger lot and be able to sell it at a better price than the C-market price. In fact, we paid this coffee approximately 140% above the market price (this approximation is due to the fact that the market fluctuated during the phase we closed the purchase).
The Luna Llena lot reflect the spirit of Bridazul, a projet created to promotes small-scale agriculture in Nicaragua. Created by Claudia Lovo and Tim Willems in 2019, owners of El Arbol, the project helps 50 producers face the economic and climatic challenges of our time.
Bridazul enables around 50 growers to join forces and share knowledge. It also gives growers access to the infrastructure they need to carry out specific processes, and shares their networks of potential buyers. At the same time, they provided followup and support to the farms throughout the year.
