Peru – Pepe – 250g

Finca el Cedro is located in the Cajamarca region, province of San Ignacio near the village of El Laurel. Pepe Montoya started growing coffee in the 1970s when his parents left the Celendín region to settle in El Laurel. In collaboration with Coopagro since 2016, Pepe has launched into specialty coffee. The co op gives him advice and support t0 improve the varieties, the quality of the cup and above all implement good agricultural practices and new infrastructure. These projects motivate him to improve his production in quality and quantity. El Cedro farm covers 3 hectares and the coffee trees grow under shade of huabas and huabillas. This bourbon and red caturra microlot is fully washed prepared and dried on a roof terrace. This type of drying “sobre terrado” is done under the roof of the farmer’s house, it is a traditional drying method.

Once roasted all our beans are sealed in our bags to maintain optimal freshness. If you would like we can open and grind the beans to your preferred setting. ie V60, French Press, Espresso. Just leave a note in the checkout cart and we will take care of the rest.
