Description

The Finca Irlanda is located in the region of Chiapas, Soconusco terroir. Walter Peters initiated a new mode of production in the 1960s, organic and biodynamic production based on respect for living organisms, the development of animal and plant species in the region. The farm is located at 1090 meters of altitude on 270 hectares of production and 50 of nature reserve. The cultivated varieties are maragogype, bourbon, caturra, catuai, geisha. The reserve is a real sanctuary, there are more than 50 species of trees, 200 birds, 800 plants, 87 spiders and 80 ants.
A foundation named Peters IAP has been created. It works to develop the medical and educational aspects of the area, it offers accommodation and free meals to the community.
