This Indian red honey processed coffee is sourced from specialist producers Ekata. Ekata are a team of coffee professionals with an ambition to take Indian specialty coffee to the world. Created by seven childhood friends from Kerala, Ekata started in 2016 with a mission to see single-origin, shade-grown coffee in biodiverse terroir processed to international standards of quality.

This bag comes from the home of Indian coffee, the southern hilly coffee-growing region of Bababudangiri, named for Baba Budan, who is said to have brought beans back from Yemen in the 17th century to introduce it to India. The red honey process of this rare coffee makes for a beautiful sweet and full bodied coffee, and with its fruit and nougat notes works great on espresso or a punchy filter.
