Ethiopia – Boji Natural – 250g

This one is a real treat! This Natural Heirloom from Ethiopia took Second Place in the 2019 Irish Brewers Cup! One of our baristas, Alex, competed against Ireland’s best to showcase this coffee to a panel of judges, who loved the coffee. They found notes of Strawberry, Orange Zest & Orange Like Acidity with a smooth, sweet body with notes of Caramel, Vanilla and Almond in the aftertaste.

The coffee comes from the Boji Village washing station, which is 25km from the town of Yirgacheffe. The washing station itself sits at 1800 metres above sea level (MASL), and accounts for 1000 pickers in the region. Coffee tress grow until 2025 MASL. This height helps the coffee to develop its unique sweetness.

What we truly love about this coffee (besides the unique flavour and the fact that it came second in Ireland, of course!), is the fact that it helps to provide an income for 1000 people in the Boji Village area.

Once roasted all our beans are sealed in our bags to maintain optimal freshness. If you would like we can open and grind the beans to your preferred setting. ie V60, French Press, Espresso. Just leave a note in the checkout cart and we will take care of the rest.
