Finca Santa Maria is a woman-run coffee farm owned by Mildred Diaz. It is one of 9 farms within Hacienda Cafeteria La Pradera in Aratoca, Colombia, with the mission of strengthening the Santander coffee cluster, contributing positively to the community, and producing coffee in harmony with the natural world.
Santa Maria is run by 22 women, under the ‘Con Manos de Mujer’ seal to certify the entire production & labour process is managed by women in an industry where woman are underrepresented in leadership roles but make up to 70% of the labour force.

The farm also holds Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and Smithsonian Migratory Bird Council certifications which promotes biodiversity of flora & fauna. It also produces a better quality product that, in turn, generates higher income and helps the social development of the whole community.
