Nicolas Colque owns a small plantation of 7 hectares in the Collasuyo region, where he produces 100% organic coffee beans. Nicolas moved to stay with his grandmother in the Yungas area in 1997, when he was just 14 years old. He started growing rice and tomatoes until he had enough money to buy his first plot of land to start growing a coffee business. The plantation is over 1400 meters above sea level and under the shade of beautiful native trees like laurels and cedars.
Today Nicolas strives to expand his farm and produce more specialty coffee. His ultimate goal is to export an entire container of coffee over 90 points.
