We have found another amazing coffee from our friends at Fazendas Dutra! This time, it’s their Award winning Natural Coffee, Caputira!

The NossoCafé Yara contest has been taking place for the past three years in Brazil. The competition is designed to encourage and promote the production of high quality, specialty coffees in the country.

Producers must send a sample of their coffee that fall within each of the categories in the competition. Fazendas Dutra entered into both the Natural and Pulped Natural categories. The coffees are scored on the aroma, flavour, acidity, balance, sweetness and overall taste profile by judges who are highly experienced in specialty coffee.

Fazendas Dutra did extremely well this year. They placed first for their Natural Coffee, Caputira and placed second for their Pulped Natural bean! It’s an outstanding achievement for an outstanding family business!

The coffee was grown on the Agua Limpa farm in the Fazendas Dutra estate, brothers Ednilson and Walter have expertly produced another stellar coffee. The coffee is naturally processed and grown at 1300 metres above sea level and has notes of Cherries, Dark Chocolate, Roasted Almonds & Black Tea.
